Aarsha Vidya Ashram Project

On Guru Purnima 2026, with deep gratitude, we share with you the latest construction update on the Aarsha Vidya Ashram at Murbad — a project close to our hearts, and now, quite literally, taking shape on the ground.

Since October 2025, three structures have been rising together: the Annadanam Kshetra (Dining Hall), Rishiprasada and Guruprasada (the two Student Hostels). Brickwork on the Annadanam Kshetra has begun, and the Shastra Ganga (Lecture Hall) will begin this October, after the rains. The attached update walks you through this journey in pictures.

Every wall is being built to carry forward something far older than itself — the living tradition of Advaita Vedanta, taught in the way of Adi Shankaracharya and carried forward by Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati.

Many donors had promised us that once we start work and structures start coming up they will donate.
We have now reached that stage and seek generous donations, continued ashirvaada and support so that we can make this Ashram ready for functioning by October 2027.

Aarsha Vidya Foundation Gurukulam Project

It was Pujya Swami Dayanandaji’s dream to establish an ashram in and around Mumbai and Swami Brahmavidananda took on this project to make his vision a reality

The Foundation has bought 3 1/2 acres of land only 70 kms outside Mumbai on the Kalyan- Murbad road (2 1/2 hours from the GPO & airport)

A place where you can immerse yourself in this knowledge and know the ‘ Truth’ in the traditional way in the Guru- Shishya parampara.
A place that will allow you to be with yourself, your thoughts and like- minded seekers and yet, just 2 hours away from the bustling metropolis of Mumbai
Where the acharyas will carry forward the parampara and create teachers through the 3-year residential course
Students can immerse themselves in the knowledge and understand the truth in a structured and intense study environment
It will also offer students the option of accessing the knowledge through camps, retreats and workshops close to Mumbai.
