Swamini Brahmaprajnananda ji is a traditional teacher of Advaita Vedanta and a direct disciple of Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati ji. A trustee of Aarsha Vidya foundation, she has dedicated her life to serving the Vedic tradition with teachings of oneness and dharma.
Swamini ji offers Vedanta courses and programmes in Mumbai and online that also include chanting mantras, meditation and psychological work necessary for contemporary living. For immersive learning, she co-conducts Vedanta retreats in India with Swami Brahmavidananda (with whom she studied part time for more than a decade) and conducts powerful retreats with a Vedanta Acharya in Brazil.
Seamlessly blending insights on psychological growth as well as self discovery, additionally she offers an online course on Udemy on dharma and has a weekly podcast called The River of Wisdom offering teachings of Vedanta for people all over the world. She uses the film medium to make short educative and entertaining films offering windows of insight into Vedanta as well as conducts video interviews with Arsha Vidya teachers across the world to share their learnings as well. Swamini ji has been involved with contributing to revival of Indian thought in psychology and has presented a few papers in academic conferences on Indian psychology. An inter-religious dialogue practitioner, she upholds mutual respect for all religions and firmly maintains that no religion can claim a superior status over another religion.
After her training as a psychologist, Swamini ji worked for fifteen years in different leadership positions to impact the lives of thousands of street children. Additionally, she served as a visiting faculty for Psychology in SNDT University and continues to teach the Masters students ‘Counselling and Therapy’ with a focus on Indian psychology. She quit her career to pursue Vedanta full time and completed a full time intensive Vedanta and Sanskrit course in Arsha Vidya Gurukulam (2010-2013) with Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati ji.
